Vulva/Volvo (2019)

Created for exhibition in Strength & Sexuality: A Resurgence of Indigenous Self-Expression, Vulva/Volvo measures 28.5 x 23cm in a new frame that can only hang. I was interested in opposing the logo for Volvo in a cheeky way by beading the word Vulva in the centre of the sign for female, rather than male.

Momma Said (2021)

Bandanas play an important role in Upper Tanana culture and are often used during ceremony. Inspired by both my mom and the song “Mama Said” by the Shirelles, I used seed beads to create a dynamic wall hanging that measures 53.5 X 26.5cm. (Image by Christopher Walton)

Sisters (2017)

Sisters is the sister piece to Untitled (Resilience). It reflects upon the resiliency of Indigenous women and the protection sisters feel when we are united. Made using moose antlers, beaver fur, velveteen, seed beads, cut beads, nylon thread, and adhesive, this work sits on a gorgeous custom made backing. The antlers are 91cm in length. I am open to negotiating the price to the right buyer. (Image by Kyra Kordoski)

Femininity (2018)

In this work I accentuated the stereotype of femininity by using the most delicate items I could find, including size 15 seed beads and lace. Nylon thread and cardstock was also used in creating the 18 X 13cm piece that sits in a hang-only frame.
