Rez Car (2017)

“REZ CAR,” with its satirical wit, intends to provoke imagination amongst viewers and to encourage them to see beauty in all objects, including discarded roadside hubcaps. The men in my life are devoted car fanatics which evidently rubbed off on me, thus my interest in using hubcaps as my canvas. I want to highlight the importance of restoration, not only to the body, but also to its parts, which can be eluded as metaphorical to some. “REZ CAR” is meant to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye while giving voice to a story not yet told.

I continue to add new hubcaps to the series as well as completing some that were not fully finished when I presented them in “REZ CAR".
